Amti Recipe step by step

  1. In a pressure cooker cook dal with two cups of water,1/2 tsp red chilli powder 1/4 tsp haldi and 1/4 tsp Hing. close the cooker and take 3 whistles, the Dal is ready and keep aside..
  2. In a put Ghee and heat it then add mustard seeds, jeera, Hing, curry leaves green chilli,garlic crushed and tomatoes and Fry for 2 minutes then add Goda masala, 1 tsp jaggery and salt to taste and add tuvar dal and mix well and how much water as needed you can add it Dal will come boil then you can add kokam and some coriander leaves and cover and cook for 7 minutes..
  3. In a pressure cooker put one cup rice and 2 cups water and take one whistle the steamed rice is ready..
  4. Maharashtrian amti is ready serve with hot steamed rice, Goda masala is very important in this recipe..
