Feel free to serve this beef recipe over pasta, or rice, zucchini noodles -- you name it. You don't need canned soup to make an elegant, rich beef and mushroom Stroganoff to serve over egg noodles. Plenty of simmering time will build the flavor. I liked the fact that it didn't involve canned soup. I used red wine (I had on hand) instead of white was delicious and a hit with kids & adults alike.
